CERT-PHLEBEXT-01
Upon successful completion of the Phlebotomy I and instructor recommendation, students may register for Phlebotomy II Externship. Students will complete 80 hours at a local healthcare facility under direct supervision. Schedules will vary and will be assigned by the externship coordinator. CERT-MEDINT-01
The Medical Interpreter training course
prepares you to work in hospitals, medical
offices and in any healthcare environment
where a Spanish interpreter is needed.
In addition, the Medical Interpreter
training course prepares you to sit in any
of the Medical Interpreting examinations
available in the country. This course is
language specific – Spanish/English.
You will acquire the three interpreting

the average for all occupations. program
is comprised of 72 hours of classroom
instruction and practical clinical
experience. It provides students with the
technical knowledge and fundamental
principles of pharmacy practice within a
retail or hospital setting. It also enables
students to take the Pharmacy Technician
Certification Board (PTCB) examination
and obtain an entry-level position as a
pharmacy technician. The cost of the
certification exam is included.

CERT-CST-03
As a Central Service Technician, you will
provide vital support in all patient care
services and be responsible for knowing
all of the tools used in an operating room,
sterilizing and packaging instruments used
during surgery. Our training program will
provide you with 120 hours of instruction
and a 400-hour externship opportunity.
You will learn principles of cleaning
and processing equipment, methods of
sterilization and disinfection, packaging
and storage, maintenance of equipment,
inventory control, basic surgical
instrument identification and more. New
Jersey Department of Health standards
require certification for everyone working
in sterile processing. Upon successful
completion, you will be a Registered
Central Service Technician (R.C.S.T.)
with the International Association of
Healthcare Central Service Material
Management (IAHCSMM). You will be
eligible for permanent certification after
completing 400 hours of experience
and passing the IAHCSMM certification
examination.
