Trouble turning your brain off? Holidays make you anxious? In this class we will explore various techniques to manage stressors as they arise. We will start with some breathing techniques to promote relaxation, we'll do some gentle movement and stretches, and finish with restorative yoga (completely passive poses designed to repair frazzled nervous systems.) CLAY-WEAVE-02
In this 5-week workshop, you will be introduced to using a four-shaft table loom. You will learn about the parts of a loom, how to measure yarn for your project, and how to warp the loom. At the end of the course, you will go home with a scarf that YOU weave. Limit 6.

The Central Service Technician course will provide students with 160 hours of instruction and 400 hours of a clinical externship. This 90 hour lecture course provides the first step to preparing students for a career as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician. The program begins with the healthcare delivery system, collection of materials and equipment, venipuncture and capillary techniques, and medical, legal and ethical implications of blood collection. Students will complete 30 venipuncture and 10 capillary sticks before the completion of the course to be eligible to sit for the National Certification Exam given by NHA. Upon successful completion of the Phlebotomy I course, students will be eligible to enroll in Phlebotomy II and complete a hands-on clinical externship at a local healthcare facility. More

CLAY-AMUSE-01

Based on exhibitions at the Art & Innovation Center gallery, students will take cues from the artists' message and process then interpret the meaning of the exhibiting artwork through their own pieces. Using mixed media, students will gain an opportunity to really view art, discuss the works and understand both individual pieces as well as the overall statement of the show. All levels are welcomed.
